Looking for the parents of Patrick F. Dunn. He was born in 1845. His fathers name was Gerald.  He came to the USA and was married in Louisiana to Ellen Elizabeth Flood on October 9, 1866.
I would appreciate any help in location his parents.

To start a search for early church records, you need to know where in Co. Kildare your particular Dunn family lived - i.e. which parish.

Do you have marriage or death certs for him ?
The US versions of these often mention parents names..

see : Introduction to Irish Records
My Ancestor came from Ireland - where do I start?

Your Patrick was born well before the start of civil records, so there will be no birth cert, but there could be a record of his baptism. Dunn[e] is quite a common surname in the area around Co. Kildare, so you probably would need a bit more detail, and more definite details on his parents, to check if any baptisms you find were in fact your Dunns..

Robertstown is a town and townland in the north of the county - so maybe  Robertstown farm was somewhere nearby ?

A quick search of the free index on RootsIreland shows about nearly 50 baptisms for the name Patrick Dunn[e] in Co. Kildare around the right time *, and about 11 in Allen/Milltown RC parish, which covered most of Robertstown/Killmeage parish.

(* You have to allow a few years either way in searches since ages given on census, death records etc are not always accurate. )

Do you have a marriage cert for Patrick ?

I have the marriage certificate from  New Orleans,Louisiana.  USA. There are no names on there for parents. It was from Oct 9. 1866. He married Ellen Elizabeth Flood from Ireland. I haven't been able to find when he came to the USA.
I have been searching for this family for years.
