TEMPLE, BRISTOL
« on: Wednesday 06 June 12 11:02 BST (UK) »
I was wondering if anyone has access to marriage records for Temple Church in Bristol. I am interested to know if the marriage record for CHARLES PIMM and AMY DAVIES - 17 OCT 1830 has any more details such as name of parents.

Thanks for pointing that out Trish - yes it should be ANN DAVIS (my typing error). Thanks also for the info on Charles PIM - I have already got this, it's ANN I've hit a brick wall on. The censuses all say she was born in Spaxton somewhere between 1810 and 1814. Trouble is there are 2 possibles - one in 1805 to George and Ann and one in 1806 to Thomas and Ann. Such a dilemma!!

Gaynor

I am also interested in any records for Temple, Bristol. Are they available for purchase anywhere? - I would be interested in baptism, marriage and burial records 1538 - 1837.

My GGG grandparents William Henry Jenkins and Hannah Maria Hawkins were married there in 1827. According to FamilySearch, all five of their children were baptised there - Jane (1830), James Henry (1832), William (1834), Sarah (1837) and Christiana (1838). I am particularly interested in William Henry's birth (possibly Bristol, 1800) and his parentage; similarly Hannah Maria's birth (possibly Bitton, 1804) and her parentage.

Can anyone help?
Cheers   ...   Geoff

I believe the Bristol FHS have all Bristol parish records available on CD - but they are grouped in Baptisms, Marriages & Burials, so you may have to obtain at least 3 discs
