1891 1901 Walter Cartwright
« on: Thursday 07 June 12 09:27 BST (UK) »
I would greatly appreciate someone looking  up for me whether Walter Cartwright b Stafford in 1867 appears with his family in Leicester in 1891 and 1901 censuses.

He was married to Eliza Catherine Fee and they had 4 children before 1901 - Charlotte, Ethel, Lilian and Walter.

I am interested also in who else may have been living with the family.

Many thanks for any assistance

Best wishes

What do you mean by "his Family"?
His birth family or his married family?

Baggygenes and Pauline J

Many thanks for your help. Interesting that Eliza Catherine  is given as born in Stafford and Folkstone in the two censuses.

Best wishes

I was thinking it was interesting the Mrs MacComack was born in Kent when Eliza had folkstone for the other ones.  They are listed as boarders but wondered if there was some connection?
She is born folkstone in 1881 too

Interesting that Charlotte does not appear in the 1901 census. There is a death of a Charlotte Cartwright aged 0 in Leicester in Jun Q 1891 but there are two births of Charlottes in 1890. Charlotte Alice Cartwright went on to marry in 1912. I would love to know which of these two Charlottes is the one in my family. Could you see if you could find Charlotte Alice Cartwright b 1890 in the 1901 census please. That might settle the question.

Sorry to be a trouble.

Many thanks again.

Not sure that Mrs McCormack is related but getting to suspect that Eliza Ford is realted. I haven't been able to find the birth of Eliza Catherine Fee that married Walter Cartwright but have found Eliza Catherine Ford born in 1869 in Elham Kent so I am wondering if the transcription in the BMD is Fee instead of Ford.
