Trying to trace back from Jane Filmer born 1792 Rye in Sussex. She married James Boxhall in 1863. I would be grateful for any help.

Hi,

I can't see a marriage for 1863, but her father and his occupation would be shown on the certificate.

FamilySearch.org does have this :

James BOXALL, marriage 22 October 1816, Rye, Sussex.  Spouse:  Jane FILLMER         :-\

Hello Sheila

If you would like Baptisums for Jane`s sibling`s just yell :)

A Stephen Filmer was baptised at St Mary the Virgin,Rye,28 Dec 1755,son of William & Amie

From the SMI

At Rye,29 Nov 1747
William Filmer & Amy Gram (BOTP) (B)

There are several variants for Gram including Graham.

Baptisum for William Filmer,2 Jul 1727,at Rye,son of William & Mary.

From SMI

At Rye,24 Sept 1717
William Filmer & Mary Eagles. (BOTP) (B)

If you have loads of Sussex Ancestors if maybe worth joining the Sussex Family History Group. It give members online access to Baptisums & Burials, well worth the money.

Hope this helps
Kind regards
