Ancestry database - Bristol Marriages 1800-37

[Old Bristolian]

I've found a marriage on Ancestry which comes from their database:
Gloucestershire: Extracted Parish Records. One component of this is Bristol Marriages 1800-37, which I take to be an old transcription (in book form?). I've asked Ancestry if they can identify the parish but with no response so far. Does anyone know of the origins of this section of the database? The marriage in question was between Philip Street & Mary Davis (botp) by banns on 5 March 1837 - given the other detail, its surprising that Ancestry haven't identified the parish. I would like to track it down so I can see the signatures & witnesses

I've just checked Familysearch & whichever combination of the names, dates etc I use, this marriage does not come up - just putting in Street or Davis and the date doesn't work - any ideas anyone?

Yes.. took me a couple of attempts.. but here it is

Yes - I found it too after putting in just Street and the year - what a site! I can't think of a more unimpressive search facility - no wonder I tend to discount it as being a poor source of information
