Beesy Devins
« on: Sunday 17 June 12 18:19 BST (UK) »
Am trying to find Beesy Devins, I have a birth for her in 1868, but then nothing else. Just wondering if she would use another name such as Bridget instead of Beesy? Help!

I think Bessy is usually short for Elizabeth. Beesy might be a mistranscription ?

Hello,
she seems to have been registered and baptised as Beesy Devins

regards
heywood

Do you mean that you don't have any marriage or death record for her?

Is that her family in Magheraboy in 1901?

As you say there doesn't seem to be a record of a death or marriage in Sligo.
There are Bridgets but as she was registered as Beesy it seems unlikely.
I think I recall that at least one brother emigrated so that could be a possibility- although again she doesn't show up.
If she died in childhood, perhaps her death wasn't registered. :-\
