Alexander McKAY & Elspet COW

Looking for more info. on Alexander McKAY who married Elspet COW at Longside Aberdeenshire on 02 Jul 1870.
Would be thrilled to learn their birthdates, siblings & parents details please.

They had two children I know of:
Isabella McKAY b: 18 May, 1871 in Longmay, Aberdeen - who did she marry please?
Alexander McKAY b: 27 Apr 1873 at Longside, Aberdeen.  He sailed to NZ where he married Theresa C McLauchlan in 1913

The ScotlandsPeople site will allow you to get a copy of Alexander and Elspet's marriage certificate. It is a pay site, but very cheap if you know the exact date and place of an event. You see the original certificate and can download it. Their marriage certificate will tell you their ages and give the names and occupations of their fathers and their mothers' maiden names. The information from that one certificate will allow you to look up details of the 1841 and 1851 census on other free sites and let you find other family members on the free LDS FamilySearch site.
