was james odonnell in england 1901
« on: Tuesday 03 July 12 18:54 BST (UK) »
Hi folks i am looking for info on my gr gr granfather james odonnell born in england in 1866. James married Mary mcclean in belfast 1887, they had a number of children elizabeth being my gr,granmother, other children where sarah, michael, james joseph, catherine and edward.  I can not find them on the irish census for 1901 so i was wondering if they where in england at this time.  Any info would be of great help.

                                      many thanks  jim

Would this be the correct family in 1911?
www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1911/Antrim/Falls/Cairns_Street/172661

If so, James' wife was deceased but it lists a total of 6 children with 3 at home: Sarah J. (21), Mary (18) and James Joseph (16).

The 3 children listed in 1911 census (link posted abov) are given as born in Belfast).

Glenalina- according to the 1911 census there was also a daughter Mary which means more than 6 children in total.
