Searching forward is more difficult, unless you have some clues as to where they lived, or who they married.

Phelan is quite a common name in the south-east so there will probably be quite a few possible matches for marriages and deaths in the area... if any of them moved from the immediate area then the search get even more difficult.

Are you descended from one of this family - did they stay in Dunmore ?

You didn't mention working back in time - but if that's of interest then the place to start is with one of the births of the children to establish Mary's maiden name.

You've posted under Co. Kilkenny, but it looks like the family you describe is living in Dunmore townland Co. Laois ?

  Phelan household - 1911

Here's the same family in 1901 (double transcribed)

Phelan household 1901 - Kyle townland

Kyle townland is just under 7km south west of Abbeyleix town, and the Dunmore townland mentioned on the 1911 (Abbeyleix civil parish, barony of Clarmallagh) return is very close to the east of this.

There a quite a few towns and townlands named Dunmore around Ireland, so it's not always easy to figure out which one is applicable..

Hi 'kenny1947'

You need to move this to the Laois board.

There are one or two people there who seem to have good access to laois graveyards etc
