Hi,

I'm looking for info on a Henry Taylor. I think he may have been born around 1795 in Corsley. I'm looking for something concrete in the way of a birth record and a marriage record, possibly to an Elizabeth Watts in 1817.

All I know is that they had a son by the name of Alfred Taylor who married Fanny Hyatt.

I feel that I'm close to find the correct info but my lack of skill in researching relatives is holding me back. With that said, any tips on researching would be greatly appreciated.

I'm a member of Ancestry and am finding the records on the site useful, but when it comes to searching parish records, I'm not sure I know what I should be looking for.

Thanks to all for the info , it has helped greatly.

Any idea how I would go about finding Henry's parents? I've checked through a few records and the closest I could find was a Thomas Tayler & sarah Cully from Wootton Rivers but I'm not convinced that's him.
