Warbrick/Campbell
« on: Sunday 22 July 12 17:09 BST (UK) »
I have a Beryl Warbrick born West Derby area 1924. Her mother is shown as Campbell on FreeBMD. The only marriage I can find anywhere is a Richard Warbrick marrying a Louisa Campbell in the Lancaster Reg. District in the Sept Qtr of 1894.

Can anybody find any other marriage? It just seems a long way off from 1924 ie 30 years. Is this the right marriage?

There are also many Beryl Jones deaths in Lancashire so I cannot easily pinpoint a death for her.....

Thank you for that correction, you are quite right, I had written it down wrong on my spreadsheet!

No I am not sure when or if she died so that is partly where my problem lies. I know you can't look up data affecting living relatives, but this is a family history for my step daughter's partner so i do not have too much info. I was wondering if anybody else was researching this line....

Yes, that is the marriage I found on FreeBMD but did not have the parents......but not sure they are the parents now after that list you just gave me! Are you using the Lancashire BMD site? s it a good site for this kind of info?

I used Lancashire Parish clerk

and that was the only marriage that came up.

As there is no obvious marriage, I would suggest sending for Beryl`s birth certificate.  It is always possible that her mother was previously married - there were lots of widows during WW1 and hence she married ? Warbrick under her married name.
