Hi Jackie

I can find nothing about  Dorothy Hill's marriage at Charlbury or Chipping Norton.  I have however added the Bap dates of the children of this marriage 7 judging by the 11 year gap they must have lived somewhere else for a time.

The only Harbod marriage at Charlbury was Peter John in 1953

Thanks, that's really nice of you to find this information for me. There were 10 Harbod children in total.

The ones missing from the list you gave me were:

Kathleen, who died in the same quarter as her birth in 1924.
James (Jim), born 4 March 1926, Chipping Norton, I think.
Robert (Bob), born 1927, Chipping Norton, now lives in Australia.

Think nothing of it I was glad to be able to help out a bit.  A thought if you are stuck, the OFHS run an excellent search service if you are interested, I know it costs but can be well worth it if you badly need some info that cant be provided by the members of these pages (an unusual occurance).  Please have a look at the web site just to see what there is available - just type in OFHS & its normaly the top option

Phil, I wonder if you could look up a marriage for me. Richard Gillett m Elizabeth Savage on 22 OCT  1806. I want confirmation that it is in the Parish Register so that I can put it as a source.

In case Phil hasn't seen this yet, I can confirm that it's on the Oxfordshire Marriage Index (published by OxFHS on CD).  Richard's surname is listed as GILLET - one 'L' - and he's from Chipping Norton.  Edit: one 'T'
