If anyone someone is going to the Archives in the foreseeable future I'd be very grateful for a look up in Stotfold parish register for a marriage on 11 Feb 1815 between Richard Charles and Catherine Cornell. I'm particularly interested in Richard's marital status - widower or bachelor.
There is a Richard Charles baptised in Stotfold in 1764 age 6, whose wife Elizabeth age 60 was buried in 1813. But Catherine was buried in 1824 age 30 which puts her age on marriage as 19, at which time Richard, if it's the same Richard, would have been 55. But Richard was Baptist and the births of some of his children were recorded in Biggleswade Baptist Church Book, but there's no son named Richard. But equally there's no sign of a Richard after the burial of Richard aged 81 in 1837.
