Mary Riddell B.Abt 1840

Hi,
I am Looking for birth, Death and her husbands info and parent conformation on my Great Great Grandmother Mary Riddell(B. I think about 1840). I don't know if she was married for sure though. She had a daughter Janet Armstrong Riddell (My Great Grandmother) B. June 17 1862 in Denholm, Roxburghshire, Scotland. Mary Riddell's parents I think were Robert Riddell and Mary Armstrong. My Great grandmother Janet died in 1929 and is buried in the Carberry Cemetery, Carberry,Manitoba,Canada.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also the spelling of Riddell, I have seen it as riddle or Ridel

It does look like Mary(b. 1840) was unmarried when she had Janet in 1862

Thank you so much for the information and the quick reply! This was excellent information to receive! I would also say that by the looks of it, Robert Riddell died somewhere between 1872 and 1881. As he shows on the 1871 census but not on the 1881 census. Once again thank you so much for the info, it's greatly appreciated!

Murray it looks like you and I have a connection in our family tree....but not a close one.

My great grandfather's brother George Scott married Margaret Riddel in 1859 at Barnhills Ancrum.  Margaret was born in 1838 at Maxton, Rox., to Robert Riddel and Mary Armstrong.

I have a little information about them and their children if you are interested.
