Coutts, John Morton Sim

Am researching the above who was on the medical register in 1913.    Family have said he was a surgeon in Banff, Scotland, or nearby.
I have no other information.

There is a John Morton S. Coutts born England in 1873
Articles published in the Lancet under John Morton Coutts about 1907 ?
John Morton Sim Coutts age 38 in the 1911 England Census and a death under that name in South Africa in 1918
Don't know if any of the above relates to the person you are looking for ?

1901 census he is living in West Ham, Essex in the home of  his brother

Found the reference to a John Morton Sim Coutts on the Medical Register in 1913

Thanks ev and sancti for your replies.   I don't think this is the John Coutts, Surgeon, from Banffshire that I am searching.

This is what I have just found:

"August 2nd 1816 John Coutts, Surgeon, Stricken, and Margaret Smith, an unmarried woman in this parish had a natural son born and
afterwards baptized Peter."    I.O.R. Births 248/00 0030 0087 Tyrie (Aberdeen)

Hope someone is able to find more info re the above.

There is an inventory on scotlandspeople (available to view for 10 credits) for John Coutts,Surgeon, Fraserburgh. The date is 2nd October 1843. This would explain why you cannot find him after the 1841 census. Perhaps the local Fraserburgh newspapers would have mentioned his passing? Theres a good chance his grave would have a headstone too.
Fraserburgh Registrar's have the lair plans.
