Thanks for that Maddie!

We had found them in the electoral rolls and are equally baffled about the name changes. We know nothing about Frederick other than what it says on the death certificate - 68 yrs (so born roughly 1886), living at Millman St, death registered by daughter and he was a retired cloakroom attendant.

Frances Annie was definitely *born* a Phillips. She was born 1891 and so by the time she appeared at Millman St, she was nearly 40, which has made us wonder if she'd marrid before - although we've never found *any* marriage records for her.

It's made all the odder by the fact that whereas Frederick's death was registered by his daughter, Frances's death was registered by an official (which just seems odd - why was the daughter not involved?)

They were living at Millman St with Frances's sister Emma and her husband, William.

Ummmmm, I wonder then if Frederick had been married before & M Stone is his daughter from a previous marriage. ???

That's what we're also wondering! But there's so little information on the death cert that we can find no more :-(

This could easily be a total "red herring"but here goes. :-\

Myra J Jackson married William A Stone Dec qtr 1944 in Hammersmith. There is a birth for a Myra JR Jackson June qtr 1920 Depwade Norfolk, mothers maiden name Rumsby.

The only marriage I could find that could correspond with a 1920 birth date is a Frederick Jackson married Alice A Rumsby Sep qtr 1919 in Willesden.

Only found 2 Alice A Rumsby births, one in Suffolk & one in Norfolk. ???

Not very helpful I'm sure but thought it might be worth posting, especially as he could be George, Frederick or even George Frederick. :)

Thanks so much for that Maddie. I'll investigate!

It's just so frustrating not being able to find ANYTHING about him, as we have no way of confirming that any F Jackson we happen to find is the right one!
