Whitney family of Orcop

Hi,
My gt. gt. gt. grandfather was David Whitney, baptised in Orcop, 24th June, 1792.  He was the second son of David Whitney and Susannah Whitney (nee Watkins).
I have found David & Susannah were married in the Parish of St. John the Baptist, in the city of Hereford, on 9th February, 1790.  I am assuming that Susannah Watkins would have belonged to the Parish in which she was married?
I thought that would possibly make David Whitney born around 1765-1770, possibly in the Parish of Orcop, as that was where their 4 children that I have found, were born.
Has anyone researched this family any further back?  I would like to find the birth of David circa 1765-1770, but I live in Lincolnshire, so it is a bit difficult for me to take a trip to Hereford.
Has anyone done any further research into this family?

remember that "of this parish" only means that they were living in the parish at the time of the marriage -- and the residency qualification was as little as 3 weeks

I too am researching Whitneys in Herefordshire, but have no connection to Orcop at the moment!

Thanks,  I have looked on the WRG many times, but have only got back to David Whitney - possibly 1765-1770, and it doesn't go any further.
