Saltfleetby wartime landmines
« on: Tuesday 21 August 12 10:47 BST (UK) »
On the 21st May 1942 a soldier in the Bucks and Oxford L.I. was killed near the then existent 'Sea View Camp', at Saltfleetby, by treading on a 'beach' landmine, an inquest was held on the 28th May 1942. Have you any information on the his identity - any newspaper or other reports?  Any help gratefully received by johnl.

The Louth Leader newspaper covers that area.  Their archives may help you.  www.louthleader.co.uk

The archives are also held at Boston library if a local person is willing to search there for you.
