Pallot's Baptism Index for England has an entry for Charlotte.   Could someone please look her up and let me know the date of her baptism and, if possible, the church and her parents.

There's a baptism on FamilySearch for a child of this name 14 Oct 1810 (birth given as 10 Sept same year) at the Old Church St Pancras, London - parents John & Grace.

Thanks so much - you've confirmed what I feared!  I've attached my great grandfather Joseph Henry Whitaker to the wrong parents and siblings and will now have to make further investigations.

I think there were two Joseph Whitakers baptised within about a year or two of each other.  Of course I've chosen the wrong one to go further back with.  I think I should have attached him to Joseph and Eliza, rather than John and Grace.

As you've answered my original query, I'll mark these posts as completed.

You're right with those listings - those were the children I had thought were Joseph's siblings.

I found a record of a baptism of Joseph Henry Whitaker on 1st February 1807 (born on 27th November 1806), to Joseph by Eliza (some London church, I think, I'm afraid I forgot to record which one - and I don't think it's any of the records on familysearch).  I can often burrow my way through to the right answer in this game, but this one's tricky at the moment.
