Thanks Wendoree...much appreciated..much to go on

Trying hard to make sense of all the Jones' and Roberts' in Llangernyw!!!

In the will of William Jones Hendre Ddu 1841, he names his granddaughter Jane wife of Wm Roberts  Ty'n y Cae...which is the correct census return, thank you :)...

...Then in the will of Robert Jones Marchaled 1850, he leaves the property known as Bryn y Ffynnon to his daughter Jane wife of Wm Roberts!!!

Things not adding up at the moment, but I will get there:)

kind regards
Aled

....other properties left or are mentioned  in the will of Robert Jones include Ty Newydd, Ty Mawr and FFrith Hen

I'm not sure whether this will help or add to the confusion:-
As well as William and Jane Roberts at Tyn y Caeau in 1841,there is
William (30) and Jane(40?-see  below) Roberts at Bryn(y)ffynnon- no others at the address

In 1851 this same couple at the same address,Jane now 33,apparently have a son David Jones(2) - no others at the address

Regards
Roger

haha thanks Roger, all goes towards the elimination process...Bryn FFynnon is the right census so I can eliminate William of Hendre...:)

It all stats with Margaret and Abel Jones resising at Tyddyn Bach in 1861, Margaret being the daughter of Robert Jones of Marchaled(farm)...census 1841,,,will 1850...family still there in 1851...

baptisms for Robert Jones LLangernyw:

15.051768 Wm Jns and Dorothy Hendre LLwyn y maen

06.09. 1769 Edrd jones and Sydny LLwyn y maen

29.03.1769 David jones and Mary Tyddyn bach

02.03.1770 Griffith Jns and Gwen Gro

william jones and grace 16.05.1771

After all the eliminations I am left with Robt son of Wm Jns and Grace?!!!!unfortunatrly can't find the marriage, and no address on this bap...or is there?

thank you all so much

regards
Aled

I thought that Margaret Jones, married to Abel, was believed to be the daughter of John Jones, miller of Melin y Person, and Jane(nee Davies).
