Help to find parents of children
« on: Friday 07 September 12 11:07 BST (UK) »
I was wondering if anyone was able to do a parish records search for me - I no longer live near to Lincolnshire so cannot get there myself.

I'm trying to find out if Freddy Burrows and Sarah Burrows were the parents of the following children. I've tried to look for parish records on Lincs to the Past but none are coming up for the required place. If anyone has access to the relevant records I would very much appreciate it if you check for me.

I'm looking for the baptisms and burials of the follwoing children:

Elizabeth Ellen Burrows born Sept 1899, died Sept 1899

James and William Burrows born 1909, died 1909

Now in 1901 Freddy and Sarah were living in Little London Long Sutton and in 1911 they were still there - so I would imagine the church in question would be St Mary's Long Sutton.

On the 1911 Census it says that Sarah and Freddy had 2 live children, only 1 of which was still alive (my grandmother) so am trying to find out the identity of the one which died.

Twins run in my family - my grandmother having 2 sets of twins herself so its also a possibility that James and William could have been theirs too - either stillborn or one stillborn/one live birth.

Thank you to anyone in advance who could do this for me.

Oh wow - that must be the child I am looking for. As I said they lived in Long Sutton and the church is St Mary's so its too much of a coincedence for it not to be her.

Thanks to you and Geoff for finding that info - I wonder if they had her baptised? I suppose even then they had to if they have had her buried at the church.

May send off for her birth certificate as that will prove it once and for all.

My dad will be surprised when I pass this information onto him.

Hi Meggiemoo, great avatar!
Have sent correction into Anc for Iry to Ivy.
Couldn't add one for Burrows from Burrow as there is no s at the end of Fred's entry.
Good find about Elizabeth Ellen.

Oh thank you for that - thats very kind of you.

Really pleased that people have found Elizabeth Ellen and now I have a burial for her and it matches the location plus there were no other Burrows in Long Sutton at the time then I think that I can say 99% that she is their daughter.
