Question about "Baptism by an ordinary Minister"

I purchased a birth record from Scotland's People that reads:  Dec 12th 1818 - - Stewart McGregor Drummond, licensed hawker, Maybole, and his wife Mary Anne Todd, his spouse, had a Son born and baptised by the ordinary minister named Stewart."

Several baptisms on the page showed "ordinary minister", and this was the only one who was a known traveller, and the only one shown as baptised by a Stewart. So, I wonder if Stewart Drummond baptised his own Son??

Wonder if anyone else has seen this, and might know more about what "ordinary minister" means?

hi,   i googled it and it means   ordained minister
