Seasalter baptism check please **COMPLETED**
« on: Friday 14 September 12 10:48 BST (UK) »
Hello

Would somebody be able to check a baptism record for me?  According to IGI Margaret Hall was baptised 31 March 1847 at Seasalter, but the only parent listed is her mother Anna Maria Hall.  I'm curious to know if this is because she was illegitimate (as I already suspected from other information), or because the father's name is missing for some other reason.

Many thanks for any help anyone can provide.

The Parish Register has Base Born noted against the child.  So Margaret was illegitimate as you suspected.  All the other detail as found on Family Search is as the Seasalter Register.

Hope this helps.

Regards,
Tony
