COMPLETED Marriage Look Up St Michael Church Shalfleet 1907

Hi All.

I wondered if anyone has access to the marriages for Shalfleet.

Jessie D Buckett married Thomas Lovell Bishop in the Jun Qtr 1907.

I am trying to confirm whether  his father was noted as George who
was a cordwainer or shoemaker depending which census.

I found him and Jessie's marriage on the Isle of Wight indexes.

The problem I have is the man I have called Thomas Lovell Bishop
was born in Titchmarsh, Northants in 1868.

I can find him on the censuses 1871 (aged 2) and 1881 (aged 12) in Titchmarsh.

Possibly on the 1891 in Barrow in Furness aged 25 (1866).

I can not find him on the 1901.

Then the marriage to Jessie in 1907 but he appears by further information
to have lost 10 years on his age.

I can not see a person on freebmd that has the same name as being born in 1878,
so I was hoping that with a chance of the full marriage details it would say
a possible father and age.

There is a 2nd marriage of Thomas Lovell Bishop to Annie Gladys Burt
in 1924 St James, Yarmouth, Isle of Wight

Not on the I G I yet it seems.

Maybe that holds some clues.

1901 George the cordwainer had Catherine Lovell (84, widowed m-in-law) living with him.
RG13 1452 132 p10 Titchmarsh

1871 Catherine Lovell was there and he was noted as "Shoemaker and Inn Keeper)

Just a thought . . . . .
If he was used to living in a pub with his father as a youngster then it's not a huge jump to find him living as a barman in a pub in Barrow.

I do not feel I can add him to the tree if it is not the
Thomas Lovell Bishop son of George marrying Jessie and Annie.

Maybe he wanted to appear younger.

Thomas L Bishop died June qtr 1954 aged 75 - IOW 6B 660
