I have since discovered that my Great Grandfather was from County Wicklow, so now I'm on the hunt for any information
about his birth or his parent's family history.
Unfortunately I don't have any names of his parents.
According to New Zealand records, His birth date was around 1845 in County Wicklow
Left Ireland around 1875-1878 for New Zealand
Married Sarah Jane Haughton on 23 April 1878 in Christchurch, New Zealand. According to NZ records, Sarah Jane
was the daughter of a Farmer. Her birthplace states County Wicklow, however I believe her family was English, or maybe
Sarah Jane was English also, very unclear. Her father was William Haughton and her mother's birth name was Sarah Smith.
Sarah Jane and William BYRNE had four children and one adopted daughter.
Any information regarding the above information would be greatly appreciated.
