That doesn't fit with the death in 1988 though.

But you know how reliable the dates on death cert's are!! ;D ;D

My thinking is, as we can't find a suitable birth registration, then the date quoted must be wrong?
SO I searched and found a Robert W Carver! :-\
Garrad (Suffolk, Essex, Somerset), Crocker (Somerset), Vanstone (Devon, Jersey), Sims (Wiltshire), Bridger (Kent)

Here is the marriage, if you dont already have it, it might be worth sending for as it may give you his age and father's name.

Hello again
Thanks for the information on Roberts,  I now have his birth and his parents names.  Can anyone look up Roberts dad William Carver b. 1868 in Wortham, Suffolk d. 1941 in Ipswich.  William married Emily Turner 1895 in Hartismere.  The family seem to be going by Carver instead of Calver making him hard for me to find. 
Any help will be much appreciated     ???

Emily Carver 25 Head MARRIED born Norfolk, Thernetham
William G Carver 4 son Suffolk, Wortham
Roberts W Carver 1 ditto
Archibald T Turner 20 Brother
 
In the 1881 census William (back to Calver) with his parents et al - RG11 Piece 1853 Folio 108 Page 2 in Wortham, Jury (or maybe Long) Green street address?

John Calver 47 Head born Suffolk, Mellis - Ag Lab
Honor Calver 39 Wife born Suffolk, Badwell Ash
Edward Calver 17 son born Suffolk, Wortham
William Calver 13 son ditto


Most of the family ended up in Winfarthing, but Roberts was with a Turner family in the next census.
