Hamilton death in Denver, Colorado?
« on: Saturday 22 September 12 14:45 BST (UK) »
In the 1920 Census my Great Aunt Hilda Gladys Hamilton is living with her husband Harvey in McCook City, Willow Grove Precinct. By the 1930 Census he has moved to Herndon, Rawlins, Kansas but has remarried (1927) and is living with Helene and her daughter Evelyn. I have no idea what has happened to Hilda, presumably between 1920 and 1927 she has died. Can anyone suggest how I can find this out?  I have tried various sites online and googled but to no avail!

Looks like they were in Denver in 1922

Denver, Colorado, City Directory, 1922

Harvey A Hamilton (Hilda)  r 2244 Chapa  Denver  Colorado
Occupation Carp

1930 Census says Harvey was first married at 37 years.  ??? So maybe he hadn't long been married for the second time.

Many thanks Sandra, that helps narrow the time frame down to five years, 1922-7 and probably Denver Colorado for divorce or death.  He is a bridge carpenter for the railroad so he obviously had to move around a lot.
