HUGHES family look up [ ballarat]

If you come across any information at all about a Martha [ nee Follard] and Frederick Hughe's family ,  it would be so appreciated . I know they married in 1866 and had 7 children . Can't find any census records on these parents .

Their daughter Emma married a John Matsen and had 2 daughters .I don't know what became of this man .
Also I can't find if Emma's daughter Leila married or had children or when she died.

Thanks for any help that may come !

For about $20 you can download the certificate for the marriage which should give you information about the parents of the couple - assuming they gave them correctly.

There is also this marriage which I happened to notice.  It's a long shot but maybe two sisters married within a couple of years of each other?  Would need to be verified by certificate, but I thought it was worth mentioning.

It seems as though these are two sisters.  I see the following births all registered in Tasmania, with the same parents

One of Frederick and Martha's children, Robert J Hughes was killed in WW1

Here is death notice mentioning he is loved brother of Jack , Fred, Blanche and Em

Tasmanian archives have a convict application to marry for John FOLLARD and Maria FEANES, 1842.  Both seem to have been convicts - John arriving per ship John , and Maria per Rajah.

There is also an outward passage for John FOLLARD, free by servitude, originally arrived per ship John.  The passage in 1852 is from Launceston to Melbourne.
