Uniform help!

I am trying to identify the uniform in the attached photo below it will be either

1. Charles Howard Bladon b1865-1896 Colour Sergeant Royal Fusiliers
2. Harry Bladon (brother) 1861-1934 Private Royal Marine Light Infantry Chatham Division.  Enlisted 1878.

I think it is the same person

The collar badge on the second photograph looks very much like that of a Royal Fusilier, there are three stripes on an arm which denotes a Sergeant therefore it would be Charles Howard Bladon.

Tanks, thats what I thought and the smaller photo would also be him?

Realistically no-one can tell you with a photo that small.
It could be him, nothing to say it isn't him, but the photo's so small that it's difficult to pick up the detail needed to reach an informed conclusion.

Hi Helena

Do you have the original photographs? If so the second looks like it is in an album. So you should see if they are any details of the photographer hidden from view. You can also scan the belt buckle and the hat in greater detail.

They have almost identical proportions, and very similar features -especially forehead, nose and chin so could well be the same person- or they could be brothers!  Not much help, really.
