He did indeed marry Rose Alice Thomas aged 24  on 17.2.1912 at the parish church Turnham Green

His address was 41 Arlington Gdns Chiswick and his father was Frederick John

Both John & Frederick are shown as joiners

The father of Rose is shown as Robert Thomas deceased - occ plasterer

Witnesses Emma Elizabeth Dowling and Albert Edward Thomas

So, it looks as though we may have found Rose staying on in Victoria, and some family background for her but still not the details of their entry.  Judith

However from another source.  These arrivals should also be on the link above at PROV.

Mr J DOWLING, 27 years, carpenter, embarked London on the GOTHIC 29 Feb 1912, ticketed to Melbourne, Aus.  No Mrs DOWLING on the passenger list.

This could be Rose...

Mrs J DOWLING, 24 years embarked London on the NORSEMAN 31 Jul 1912. Ticketed to Melbourne, Aus.

Unfortunately the Outgoing Passenger lists end at 1915 and Rose doesn't appear to be there.
