Hopefully without being too intrusive - would it be worth your while to let us have the information which lead you to find this marriage between John and Mary.

Foston On The Wolds is on the IGI, but not with the marriage you are looking for.

It might give us a clue to look at another locality.

Johnson Harrison Malton born 1784.    His  parents  are  John and  Mary.  I  am looking  for  their  marriage.

there are  lots  of  Harrisons  in  this  area.  So  it  is  hard  going.   Johns  also  had a  brother William  born  1782 I  think.

Thanks

Yes we know you have the record, we're trying to locate it !  :)

The Mc came up with the best one as far as I can see at the moment.

Pels.

I've now come up with another......Harton and Foston.
They are fairly close to each other on the oppoisite sides of the A64 about halfway between York and Malton..... ??? ???

Just a thought, but if Johnson was born in 1784 and William born in 1788 :

Marriage : 30th November 1778
John Harrison
Mary Watson
Saint Michael, New Malton, Yorks

Could that marriage be a possibility ?

also  had a  brother William  born  1782 I  think.

Christening: 5th March 1788
William Harrison
Saint Leonard, New Malton, Yorkshire

Just a thought, but if Johnson was born in 1784 and William born in 1788 :

Sorry, the above baptism was the one I meant.
