Nazareth house Lancaster
« on: Sunday 14 October 12 18:40 BST (UK) »
Hi, trying to find information regarding Nazareth House when it was a children's home, time span about 1916 to 1918. I have been to their web site but nothing seems relevant, I did find a query on rootschat back in 2009,  I think, but it doesn't answer my question," where will they keep children's files, that entered the home?". I have a bit of a mystery surrounding the Father of four young children the youngest only months old. When a descendant of one of these children visited a few years ago they told her all they could say was " both parents were present" I will appreciate anything that will point me in the right direction Kind regards. Nikitah.

Hi Simon , I got a very nice reply from Lancashire Archives, they believe the records are kept at the Catholic Caring Society, I'll try them, Thanks again, Nikitah.

Thanks to Simon for all his help, eventually I contacted Sisters of Nazareth General Archives, Nazareth House, Hammersmith Road, London, W68DB. In less than a month they have sent me all the details in their records, I can't thank them enough nothing seemed to be too much trouble, there was never any fee quoted, just kindness and courtesy. I still have three children to find it would seem they weren't taken into care at Nazareth  House so I'm back to square one. Kind regards Nikitah
