Robert Acton b @ 1770, son of John Acton & Marie Beckett

Hi!  My great-great-great grandfather was Robert Acton, b @ 1770 Castlebar, Co Mayo, son of John Acton and Marie Beckett.  Robert and his wife Christiana Brew emigrated to Canada with at least four of their children in 1836.  I am looking for any information on the Actons, the Becketts and the Brews that can be connected to my family.

Thanks, Marian.  I should have specified that I'm looking for information on the family prior to their emigration to Canada... the report you reference was one I originally produced  .

So, looking for information on the Actons and Becketts and Brews in & around Castlebar before 1836.

Like you i am looking for my ACTON link to Mayo. My ACTON line is in Smith Falls. My gggrandfather was John Acton who emigrated in 1840. We assume Mayo, my quest is to find out. To that end i am going to mayo for 2weeks this summer and have registered an event with "The Gathering" for June 1 in Castlebar to meet with Actons and compare notes. My suspicion is that our two families are linked.
