Would like a lookup at NRO please

Hello All,
       Could some kind soul do a lookup for a William Gray.born in Trowse. I found this info on the 1871 for spalding giving his age as 33. I looked on the 1837 on line Spanning 1837-1842 but couldnt find him, any help would be appreciated.

It is possible the birth was not registered.  Although the St. Catherines Indexes of births, marriages and deaths started in 1837 to the present day, it did not become compulsory to register until 1875, where upon people would be fined for not registering.  So it looks possible, that if you want to find the birth it is down to church records.
