MacNamea/MCNeemer/McNamee, Armagh
« on: Saturday 20 October 12 16:54 BST (UK) »
I have a Mary Ann MacNamea who married Isaac Hall at Bradfield, YKS in 1858. She died in 1860 when her youngest daughter, Maria, was born. In the 1861 England census there's a Daniel (22) and Alice(20) MCNEEMER working for Isaac Hall and family. They were from Forkill, Armagh, Ireland. Mary's husband was born circa 1809 at Bradfield. I don't know how old May was. Would your 1821 Census ( or a later one) have any info about Mary Ann MacNamea's Family.
Thanks,
Marilyn

Hi,
The earliest extant census of Ireland is 1901. Earlier ones were destroyed for one reason or another. However some earlier census information has survived and the McNamee name in various townlands in the parish of Forkhill still exist. There are about 50 names from the 1821 census but it is not possible to tell if they were connected to Mary Ann.
