Leiston birth lookup please

Is there any chance of someone doing a lookup in the Leiston PRs for the birth details for Mary JACOB. From information in the NBI (for her married name - Mary Porcher Mean) her calculated birth year is 1784.

All efforts would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Dissman,

The IGI has several Mary Jacob's baptised in Suffolk ranging from
the 1760s in various parishes.

I see she was buried in Mellis, St.Mary, was she the wife of Daniel who died 1864 aged 73?

There are also some marriages for Mary but no one meeting the Porcher Mean surname.

Many thanks for your response.

Yes, she was married to Daniel Porcher Meen (1793 - 1863). I have seen the IGI baptisms but, based on the dates, none of them match the 1784 date calculated from the NBI. Her 1851 and 1861 census records show, quite categorically, that she was from Leiston.

Hopefully, something will turn up.
