Hi

There are 2 Cammack researchers on this site.  If you click on the Surname icon at the top of the page, it will take you to the surname interest list.

I am also researching Ancliffe's but wayback with Mary in 1703 in East Markham.

Where are your Marriotts from?

Thanks for the info - fairly new to this site, but not to genealogy.

My Marriots are from Nottinghamshire.  The furthest back I have is William Marriott (1747) who married Felix or Felia Low.  The last Marriott connected to me is my paternal great grandmother Hilda Marriott (1891-1960) who married Wilfred G Watson.

I have recently moved to Nottinghamshire from Scotland, so am keen to start researching my Cammack/Marriott/Antcliff(e)/Watson roots here.

Sorry Carol, I just realise how vague my reply was regarding the origins of my Marriotts!  Hilda was from Rawmarsh as was her father John (1861-1943).  John's father Abraham (1834-1885) was from Sutton.  I've never really done much research on this side of my family; I am a  Cammack, so tended to concentrate on them, but now that I'm here I thought I'd spread my research a little wider - branch out, so to speak!

Hi Linda

My Marriott's were from Skegby, Notts, but the line has taken me back to a place called Stretton in Derbyshire.

Good Luck

I am curious if you have any information about William cammack (b. Oct. 1823 abt.)who married Mary Jackson.(b. 1829 Upton, Lincolnshire) I think William was born with the last name Auckland but changed it to Cammack later in life. I am trying to find out any information about Wiliam's parents. We think his father was William Auckland and his mother was an Anne Cammack. William and Mary's children are Mary, Rebecca, John, George, Charles, Henry, Sarah Anne, Rebekah, Albert and Walter.
