Whiteparish Burial Records - look up please
« on: Monday 22 October 12 12:57 BST (UK) »
My Great-grandfather Thomas Pearce died on 24 February 1911 at The Fountain Inn, Whiteparish, Wiltshire (I have the death certificate).  Thomas was the landlord of this Inn.

I would be grateful if anyone can find a burial record for him so that I can then trace his grave.

I cannot guess whether he was C 0f E or non-conformist as the family were involved in more than one denomination over his lifetime, but I think he would have had the right to be buried in All Saints, Whiteparish churchyard as a parishioner anyway.  Does anyone know if there were any other burial grounds locally at that time?

I understand that Wiltshire Records Office has the burial register for All Saints for 1911, but I am not in a position to visit there myself.

Hi Sweetmelissa  :)

I checked out the original parish record ledger today and there he was!

Burial Entry No 128 - 1911 - Thomas Pearce - Whiteparish - March 1st - 58 years - Charles F Metcalf Vicar

I also took a look at the Wilts Monumental Inscriptions index but sadly he wasn't on it.

Hope it helps!
