Sarah Hanes CROKER baptism in Tydd St Giles circa 1850
« on: Tuesday 23 October 12 19:11 BST (UK) »
Hi, Everyone,
Am unable to get up to the CCRO at the moment, so I was wondering whether some kind soul could look up an 1849/50-ish baptism for someone who occurs in the 1851 Census at Tydd St Giles as Sarah Hanes CROKER, aged 1.  In each subsequent Census (she marries a Robert GREEN on 2nd July 1871 at St Pancras Old Church, and becomes a Mrs GREEN) she gives a slightly different birthplace for herself.  I'm worried that Tydd St James might feature, which if it does, lay/lies just over the county line in Lincolnshire, so I'm barking on the wrong board.  Wisbech and "Sutton" are also mentioned as birthplaces.  Just hope it's Tydd St Giles!
regards, keith

Hi, Maureen and Ray,
Thanks so much for looking those up for me!  I've had a look now at the Familysearch.org site, and it seems as though the CROKER family had a multiple baptism in 1859, but Sarah was actually born ten years before that, in 1849
