Marriage lookup request.

Hi,

I am hoping someone can help search for a possible marriage for me. The groom would be a CHITTY, his firstname is unknown. The bride is Sarah MILEHAM or MILAM. She was born in 1798, possibly in Hurst. The marriage would have occured before 1827.

Can't see a marriage at Hurst, but there is a baptism for a Sarah MILEHAM there in 1798, on 9 Dec, d/o Samuel & Hannah.

For anyone who can help;

Joseph SEDUNARY Married Sarah CHITTY, 01 January 1827, Reading, Berkshire

It appears that she was a Widow when she Married Joseph and she died 1836.

Hi Ian, Thanks for replying! Yes, that is Sarah's birth record. I had seen the Hurst PRs online. I looked in there for Sarah's marriage to a Chitty, but can't find one. I was hoping someone would have knowledge of records I don't know about, or access to records I don't have access to... and would be willing to help.  :)

Hi Trish! Are you searching for this marriage too? I haven't seen Samuel's will yet. But have found online that Joseph Sedunary was listed as his son-in-law. At first I wondered if it was assumed that he was the son-in-law, and that Samuel was the one who taught Joseph carpentry, and this was the reason behind Joseph being in the will. But it does seem to fit that Sarah Chitty is the married name of Sarah Mileham... if only a marriage record could be found!
