Blackmore Squires Family

Hi. Just started to find out a bit more about my father's family.  My grandfather was Walter Blackmore Squires who appears to be buried in Trealaw cemetery in Wales. Would be interested to hear from anyone else looking into this family history.

He appears to marry 1898 Pontypridd
does he have children Lena,Alice and Stanley?

Hi.
He is buried in Trealaw cemetery and it says he died in 1941 aged 60. He did have children called Lena, Alice & Stanley.  He went on to have many more children.  Family rumour is that he married 3 times and they were all sisters ! There was Lionel, Lily & Nellie by another wife ( i think) and then my father Denis and his brother Albert by my grandmother Mary. Mary also had a daughter by a previous husband called Ethel.  I am guessing that my grandfather did not divorce his wives and that they probably died.

It's a bit confusing when the dates are just not quite right. I believed he died in 1941 aged 60 but maybe that is not right. If in 1901 he was 23 and married to first wife Emma.  Guess we need to check the actual death register.

His first wife was Emma and he had  daughter called Lena with her and i believe at least 2 or 3 more (Alice, Stanley & Nellie(?) He is also buried with an 11 mth old called Winifred Violet.
He then married again -? date (could be Emma's sister) and had Lionel & Lily (and maybe Nellie).
Then he married my grandmother Mary - rumoured to be another sister ! She had previously been married to a Croft and had a daughter from that marriage called Ethel. She then had 2 sons, Albert & Denis. Denis was my father (dob 1927)
Gosh - this is a complicated one !!

Not sure if you have traced back further but Walters Father JOHN seems to use Blackmore in 1861/1881/1891 Census. (1891 they are under Balckmore)
1861 he is with his BARFIELD Grandparents.
John is born c 1842, Nailsea, Somerset.
