Hi Kevan,
I may be able to help a little with parts of your research. My second cousin 4x removed, Elizabeth Lorraine (1799-1872) married Thomas McQueen (1794-1882) at Graitney (ie Gretna) in 1823. A photo of Elizabeth and some of her children is in my Ancestry tree (Martin family tree (2) - [http://trees.ancestry.co.uk/tree/38830317/recent?pg=42]. They had twelve children - seven daughters and five sons. Their fifth daughter, Grace (c1832- ?) married George Pool at Dornock in 1867. As you say, the McQueens ran salmon fisheries at Abercorn and Dornock. I've checked and all of the boys remained in the salmon fishing business around Dornock (except Thomas, who became a fishmonger in Falkirk), so it looks like the London branch moved there sometime earlier or later. It was a big family! Hope this helps a bit, though I guess you have some of it already
