She was living in Twerton Somerset 1901 aged 17

Her father James Edward POW (widower) sailed to Cape, South Africa from Southampton on the BALMORAL CASTLE - 16 Jan 1920

Did he die in Rhodesia or South Africa?

Elsie Mary Millicent POW married a Mr Gilman and died in Rhodesia (Details not known)

Can anyone help me find out more about Elsie & her family?

For tracing info - James E Pow was born 1853 as per 1901 census so was in the region of 68 in 1920

No death shown in England/Wales after 1920

No Pow/Gilman marriage in England/Wales

When you open the link you can search the daeth notices etc in Rhodesia. Unfortunately you have to do it slide by slide as there is no index, but I suppose it is better than nothing.

Thank you for looking, I know the link but it is hard to find the correct file from the indexes.

I have looked at the source of my original notes which are as follows.

Elsie, my grandmother, settled in Rhodesia and married a Mr. Gelman who later changed his surname to Gillman for business reasons as there was confusion and argument between cousins.
So Mr. and Mrs. (Elsie) Gillman had five children - their eldest son being my father born in 1919. There were 13 grandchildren from the five children. Two of us still in Rhodesia (Zimbabwe) up until last year when I can over to live permanently in the U.K.
Other cousins live in South Africa  and Australia.  Ginny Salmon (nee Gillman)

I still donīt know where exactly the Gillman (Gelman) lived in Rhodesia

Maybe someone else can help me further?

I have now found the two Rhodesian deaths which I have been seeking for over two years. I found them using the link which has the Zimbabwe Death notices, 1904-1976.
