Richard Pugh , Utica , N.Y. State

Richard Pugh was born at Manod , Blaenau Ffestiniog , Merioneth in 1879 and was a brother of my late grandmother , Jane. He married in Wales on 06 October 1900 then emigrated to Utica.
Their daughter Luella was born in 1910. She married a William P. Decker - who was a banker.
I met my Aunt once in her life around 1963 - she was a widow at this time . I recall her referring to cousins living on Long Island - these could only be her late husbands cousins.

I have contacted Welsh Chapels in Utica - negative results.

I look forward to gleaming any info. or advice as another family branch has been researched back to 1620. There were 26 sea captains in another branch of my tree.

There is an Obituary in the Utica NY Daily Press Thursday February 28 th 1952 for Richard Pugh.

Richard Pugh 73 years of of 1537 Kemble died February 27 th 1952 in Faxton Hospital after a brief illness. He was born December 28th 1878 in Ffestiniog, North Wales, a son of Hugh and Ellen Pugh etc etc.,

He leaves a wife, a daughter Mrs William P Decker of Utica, 2 sisters Mrs Morris G Roberts, Barmouth. North Wales and Miss Margaret Pugh, Ffestiniog. A sister-in-law Mrs William Griffiths of Utica and 4 cousins in New York.

The marriage of Luella Pugh and William Decker took place at the Plymouth Congregational Church etc etc.,
Miss Lillian R Johnston of New York, cousin of the bride was Maid Of Honour. Charles Decker brother of the bridegroom was best man.
John Hugh Davis of Utica and John Brooks Flack of Syracuse were Ushers.

Thanks for all the help - after 30 years - eureka today !!

Family tree - U.S.A. connection now in good shape.
Have searched again today for my lost great aunts - Beatrice E Johnson Born abt. 1890 and Lillian R Johnson born abt. 1894. My aunt Luella used to stay with them on Long Island in early 1960s.

Their father came from Scotland and was widowed with a daughter Mary born abt. 1884.

Any help would be of assistance . Thanks in anticipation.
