Alfred Devito Detroit died probably 1975

Hi I am looking to find what happened to an Alfred (Alfie) Devito. I am not sure where he was born. Somehow he ended up in Northern Ireland and worked as a barber for a time. He married a Sarah Ann Cleland in Belfast. She was born in Belfast in 1913. All I know is that they live in Bangor a small town 15 miles from Belfast. Sarah died on 7th August 1974. Alfie then returned home. I believe he moved to Detroit where apparently he re married quick soon and opened a hotel with his new wife. Unfortunately he died soon after probably in 1975 possibly 1976. This is all I have to go on. Am not even sure how the news of his death got back to Belfast but his mother in law was still alive at that stage.

Would you have any idea when he might have been born, please?

That is a big problem . I imagine he was around the same age as Sarah so probably around 1910 or after but not much after  I would guess

There are three deaths for an Alfred Devito on the social security death index:
One man was born in 1890 and applied for his social security card in California, prior to 1951.  He died in 1974 in California.  According to the California death index, this man's middle initial was U and he was born in "Other Country".
One man was born in 1912 and applied for his card in New Jersey around 1951, and died in 1975 (no place mentioned).
One man was born in 1939 and applied for his card in Illinois c1955, and died in Illinois in 1979.

Not all people who had social security cards are listed in the death index (there are various reasons).

Here’s a family name DEVITO living in Ireland in 1911 Head of the family is
Peter Devito born in Italy his occupation is a Hair Dresser
