Clonmel Chronicle 1862 Lookup Please! COMPLETE

Hi There,

Please can anyone help me on a lookup in the Clonmel Chronicle on an assault on my 3xgrandfather Seargent Flanagan in 1862 in the Clonmel area.

I have two previous court cases 6th and 20th September 1862 for assault by Denis Hackett and friend(s) on seargent Flanagan.

On the familysearch site, i noticed on the Ireland Prison Register, that Denis Hackett was imprisoned in 1862, so i'm presuming he got sentenced for the assault on seargent Flanagan.

I put a lookup on another site South Tipperary Military History Society forum, www.stmhs.ie and someone was so kind and got back to me, with some useful information, sorry i didn't ask him if i can find the Clonmel Chronicle online.

The Local Studies Section of Tipperary Library in Thurles. Microfilm only, it's not online as far as I know

Thanks for your replies. I may post a query on that message board and see if someone knows of a convenient way of accessing the records.

I will have to pay a visit to Thurles. If only I knew they had these microfilms when I was working in Thurles last year!
