I would like help understanding a service record for Henry Lakin. He was in the Royal field Artillery and his number was 99675. Although I have this record I'm having trouble finding out where he was and what he did. I think he was in the 58th brigade, but I'm not sure what that means, can anyone help.

Hi Lizzy.

You would appear to have access to the same records as me but if you want Henry's service record explaining, you'd be better posting your query on the "Armed Forces" ("World War One") board. They're the experts with this kind of thing but you'll need to tell them exactly what info you have and where you got it from.

Hope this helps,  David
