criminal register
« on: Tuesday 27 November 12 11:18 GMT (UK) »
I bet this post will annoy some people but hey :) keep smiling

Could someone please tell me what were the common crimes in the 1841 criminal register? I can't make it out so here's the cryptic crossword clue its a five or six letter word ending with Y and its got an A in it.

If anyone's got the time to humour me it would be greatly appreciated

The actual handwritten word is on ancestry for John Purse he was 60ish when he was imprisoned from Ashill Norfolk in the criminal register for 1841. Sorry I'm not sure how to post it here
cheers

is it a crossword clue?

 - or do you really want to know?    ;D

 - if so, please post a snip of the criminal register so we can have a look at it - not all, but big enough to see enough writing to compare.
