John Tempero in Sunninghill?

I have been told that John TEMPERO was born about 1730 in Sunninghill Berks but have not found any confirmation of this.

When true this John TEMPERO married Penelope BURR, year and place not known.

A son was also John TEMPERO and was born about 1770, he later married Mary BETTERIDGE - again marriage facts not known.

Can you help in finding out more about John TEMPERO and family?

Can’t help you with Sunninghill I’m afraid, but here are the OxFHS Marriage Index entries for John (x 2):

John TEMPERO (of Waterstock) married Penelope BURR at Charlbury on 3 May 1764;

John TEMPERO married Mary BETTERIDGE (of Drayton St Leonard) at Great Milton on 10 Feb 1791.

Waterstock and Great Milton are neighbouring parishes in Oxfordshire, around 40 miles NW of Sunninghill.  Charlbury is about 23 miles NW of Waterstock.

I have found these baptisms in a PR transcript for Sunninghill:

Ann Tempro dau of John & Mary Tempro bp 11 Mar 1722/23
Elizabeth Tempro dau of John & Mary Tempro bp 1 Nov 1725
John Tempro son of John & Mary Tempro bp10 Nov 1728
Nathaniel Tempro son of John & Mary Tempro bp 6 May 1731

also
William Tempro son of John & Ann Tempro bp 8 Apr 1733
Sarah Tempro dau of Thomas & Sarah Tempro bp 6 Jul 1727, possibly buried 26 Fen 1727/8

Sarah Tempro wife of Thomas buried 28 Fen 1736/7

This one is puzzling, since I can't find a baptism entry:
John Tempro son of John & Mary Tempro buried 8 Oct 1727

Marriage:

John Tempro married Mary Phillips 14 Apr 1722 (not 100% on this the year, I seem to have missed it off the notes  )

I now have a contact to a family researcher in New Zealand, she has not found these entries either.

Just had a look at what I have and see that from www.familysearch.org there was a Johannes Tempero who married Maria Phillips 14 or 15 April 1722

Theory:  Did John & Mary have another son John who died Oct 1727 before
John born 1728 was born?

Can you see any other children for them born between 1722 & 1728?

I was thinking of Johannes & Maria having children at this time.

I have no idea why Family Search have them so named, they do not have any other baptisms other than what you found as well.
I found a child for Nathaniel Tempero born 1731 on Family Search by chance.

Benjamin TEMPERO baptised 19 Aug 1764 
baptism/christening place: SAINT ANDREW,HOLBORN,LONDON,ENGLAND
Mother´s name Mary

Can you find a marriage for them?
