Hope baptisms - Smarden 1812-1837
« on: Monday 03 December 12 08:48 GMT (UK) »
Hello, does anyone have access to the Smarden parish registers for 1812 to 1837? I am looking for any children from the Hope family baptised during this time.  Thanks!

Have you tried FamilySearch.org [IGI] or contacted Smarden History Society?

There are a lot of Hope births in Kent for this time but location is not listed.
The parish church was St Michael's, perhaps they have records?
Good luck

Have tried IGI, nothing there.  I saw the Smarden Heritage Centre website, would they do a look up for me if I emailed them or do I have to go in person?

I'm sure an email will be ok

They are very helpful people who take great pride in their village and its heritage.

If they can't help you maybe you could try Ashford Family History Society
